First graders lead by example when reading with kindergarten reading buddies! Once a week for twenty-five minutes the students get together and explore reading. Through the use of poetry, word cards and selected books the children enjoy each other's company while enhancing their reading fluency.
Today during Power Up we continued to learn about money through a money relay game! With the help of some 6th graders the students were able to practice money concepts while moving quickly through stations. It was an afternoon of learning with laughter!

It's spring and planting time is here! It all starts with that tiny seed. We found them in fruits and veggies and counted them. For some it was a hard and messy job! In the end we all got to taste what the seeds will turn into: peppers, cantaloupe, avocado, apples and oranges. Yum!
